Given that many of us have had the “stay at home” orders, Lincoln singer/songwriter/musician/composer Sue Brescia decided to start sketching again and created a charcoal sketch of Governor Raimondo. She is hoping to present this to her at some point. This is her way of saying thank you for keeping Rhode Islander’s safe. “I’m sure this task has been more than daunting and palpable,” says Sue.

Accomplished singer, songwriter and musician Sue Brescia dedicates her new CD “Our Last First Time” to those who have lost a loved one.

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

(Press Release) – June 8, 2011 – (Providence, R.I.) – Writing, arranging and performing her own material with simplicity, beauty and breadth, Rhode Island artist Sue Brescia recently released her latest CD, “Our Last First Time.”

A symphony of sixteen musical arrangements, plus title song and animated video, “Our Last First Time” is dedicated to the love shared between two people even beyond heartache and loss.

“This was perhaps the most difficult piece I have ever written” Brescia says.

Sue was moved to create and dedicate this CD after her close friend Peggy passed away from complications of cancer. “Not only did I have the privilege of calling Peggy and John my friends, I witnessed the great love they possessed for life and for each other; it was beyond all limits.”

The instrumentals are appropriately named after each line of every verse from the title song to encompass the full spectrum of the CD and articulately captures emotions ranging from lightheartedness to an introspective tranquility through the masterful blending of woodwinds and strings.

The poignant video features over thirty original paintings that depict the cycle of life in a beautiful canopy of rich color. Each painting eloquently merges into the next to craft a tender story of celebrating the joy shared between two hearts and coping with death and loss.

Contemplative as it is serene and poetic, “Our Last First Time” will restore a sense of well being to the spirit and soul.

“Losing a loved one leaves a heartache that will never be healed. My wish for this CD is to bring solace and comfort to those who receive this musical expression of love.”

Visit www.suebrescia.com or www.ourlastfirsttime.com to purchase the CD. Sue also makes available for sale the paintings that went into the creation of the animated video by Rhode Island artist, Cheryl Denton.

Words often fail in the time of grief, but music has the power to swell within the soul to fill the void of loss. Giving the gift of condolence through the masterful blending of instrumentals goes beyond what words can express… it embraces emotion and feeling.
