About the Project
The Tom White Project is led by Rhode Island–based pianist and composer Tom White, a University of Rhode Island Music Department alumnus. After more than fifteen years composing for trio and quartet settings, White expands his musical vision with a sextet, creating richly layered arrangements designed specifically for this ensemble.
The Ensemble
The group also includes longtime collaborators Jim Nordhill (drums) and Tom Casale (bass), alongside URI Jazz Faculty members Mark Berney (trumpet) and John McKenna (saxophone), forming a powerful and expressive sextet.
