Highfield Hall welcomes the Tim Ray Trio for an afternoon of world-class jazz on February 22, featuring acclaimed pianist Tim Ray, joined by Gray Sargent on guitar and Marshall Wood on bass. 🎹 🎸

Best known as Tony Bennett’s final pianist and musical director, Tim Ray has appeared on more than 100 recordings and performed with an extraordinary range of jazz and popular music icons, including Kurt Elling, Terri Lyne Carrington, Aretha Franklin, and Lyle Lovett. “His playing reflects a deep sense of swing, lyrical phrasing, and a lifelong connection to the jazz tradition.” 🎶

Guitarist Gray Sargent, a longtime member of the Tony Bennett Quartet, has performed and recorded with jazz greats such as Illinois Jacquet, Dave McKenna, Scott Hamilton, Phil Woods, and Buddy Tate. Bassist Marshall Wood, also a former member of the Bennett Quartet, has been a mainstay on the jazz scene for more than three decades, performing with legends including Anita O’Day, Dizzy Gillespie, Clark Terry, Marian McPartland, and Phil Woods

Presented in collaboration with Falmouth Jazz, this exceptional performance brings together three master musicians for an intimate and memorable afternoon of jazz. 🌟

We’re excited to announce the upcoming release of a new trio recording from jazz guitarist Jim Robitaille, officially arriving on April 3rd via Whaling City Sound.🎶✨

The album features a dynamic trio lineup with:

Jim Robitaille – guitar & guitar synthesizer 
Tom Casale – acoustic & electric bass
Chris Poudrier – drums & percussion

Together, the trio delivers a compelling and creative musical statement, showcasing Robitaille’s expressive guitar work alongside a deeply responsive rhythm section.🥁

To celebrate the release, an album release concert will take place on May 3rd from 4–6 PM at the Clubhouse Gallery and Event Space in Providence, Rhode Island. 🎉

The event will be a double bill, also featuring the highly creative and original John McKenna Resonant Structures Group, making for an exciting afternoon of music. 🎵
