After graduating from the prestigious Berklee School of Music, jazz saxophonist, flutist, and composer Greg Abate played lead alto saxophone in the Ray Charles Orchestra for two years in the early ‘70s. In 1978, he formed the group Channel One, and later played tenor sax in the revived Artie Shaw Orchestra, directed by Dick Johnson.
Following this experience Greg ventured out as post hard bop soloist playing Jazz Festivals, Jazz Societies and Jazz Clubs throughout the U.S. Canada and abroad, including most of Europe, UK, and Moscow and Georgia Russia, and has released more than 16 albums.
Greg’s newest release Gratitude, with the Tim Ray Trio has received glowing reviews and a lot of international airplay.
Music industry consultant and publicist Ginny Shea has garnered international exposure for her clients through radio and video promotion, print media, and her vast industry network.
