Vocalist Lori Colombo and Guitarist Jim Robitaille
To “Turn Up the Quiet” Of Their Own

{New Bedford, MA} –Due to a sudden illness, singer Ron Gill, scheduled to perform this Saturday with guitarist John Stein, will not be able to make it. Filling in for Stein and Gill will be well-known vocalist Lori Colombo and versatile guitarist Jim Robitaille.

CD label Whaling City Sound presents an evening of intimate vocals and relaxing jazz music covering the American songbook as well as Brazilian and other influences. Proceeds from ticket and CD sales for this great evening of music directly benefit the YWCA Southeastern Massachusetts.

Lori and Jim have been performing together for several years, and can be heard most nights throughout the week on Cape Cod in the summer months. Lat winter they spend several months performing on the East and West Coasts of Florida, where they have developed a loyal following.

The rich interior of the 1866 Wamsutta Club provides the ideal setting for this quiet and moving music, and enhances the ambiance of the evening and performance. The club is located at 427 County Street, at the corner of Union Street, in downtown New Bedford. Ample convenient parking is available right at the Club. The Wamsutta Club is handicap-accessible.

Tickets are $25 each, and are available at the YWCA, 20 South Sixth Street, New Bedford, (508) 999-3255, at Baker Books, 69 State Road, Dartmouth, (508) 997-6700, and by calling Whaling City Sound at (508) 992-6613. Tickets will be available at the door, but seating is limited and the event may sell out in advance.
