http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BOYC03MBp5s

An accomplished adult contemporary singer, songwriter musician, Sue’s music touches the most universal of human experiences.

Writing, arranging and performing her own material, with simplicity, breadth and beauty,
Sue has created her second CD,”Our Last First Time.”

An instrumental compilation with title song and animated video dedicated to the love shared between two people even beyond heartache and loss. The video, also included on the CD, features individual paintings that merge to create a living
tapestry of two intertwining lives.

The CD also includes the peaceful and symphonious blend of sixteen musical arrangements plus one feature song, “Our Last First Time.” The instrumentals are aptly named after each line from every verse in this compelling song, to encompass the full spectrum of the CD. Contemplative as it is serene and poetic, “Our Last First Time” will restore a sense of well-being to the spirit and soul.

3/20:Turn to 10 (7am & 9am) for Marcelle Gauvin’s innovative vocal pedagogy program

Turn to 10 (http://www2.turnto10.com) tomorrow at 9am & see Marcelle Gauvin demonstrate her innovative vocal pedagogy program.
Marcelle, of the University of Massachusetts Dartmouth, welcomed New York Singing Voice Specialist Jeannette LoVetri as master clinician in January. LoVetri has brought legitimacy to the study of non-classical vocal styles, which she refers to as “Contemporary Commercial Music” (CCM) and has developed an innovative singing method based on voice science research, vocal health practices and four decades of teaching experience. This cutting edge method entitled Somatic Voicework(sm) has garnered attention from internationally acclaimed voice professionals and educators. LoVetri’s students include a veritable who’s who of Tony™ and Grammy® award winning singers.
UMass Dartmouth is one of only three universities in the U.S. offering certification in The LoVetri Method. Marcelle Gauvin has hosted Ms. LoVetri’s symposiums since 2008 and is a member of her teaching staff at Shenandoah University in Winchester, VA. In addition to LoVetri & Gauvin, guest faculty at this year’s conference include noted Boston Throat Specialist, Dr. James Burns, staff surgeon at Massachusetts General Hospital’s Center for Laryngeal Surgery and Voice Rehabilitation, and classical contralto Dr. Kathryn Green, Director of Shenandoah University’s Contemporary Commercial Music Institute.

Workshops offer participants Level I Certification in Somatic Voicework(sm)/The LoVetri Method and is geared toward educators, choral directors, singers, speech language pathologists and anyone having a genuine interest in the workings of the human voice. For more information contact Marcelle Gauvin at mgauvin@umassd.edu.

Marcelle will sing at Jazz Fest Week in New Orleans – Hotel Monteleone May 7th.

Our newest client, the Bohemian Quartet, is a four-piece string band comprised of a violin, viola, cello and bass. The Quartet was founded by virtuoso violinist, violist and active conductor and arranger, Stan Renard, in 2005. Nancy Richardson, violist, has enjoyed a career in both performance and music education. Christine Harrington is a cellist and orchestra director in the Cranston, RI, public schools. John DeBossu is one of the most respected upright bass players in the Rhode Island area and has been performing on various stages all over New England.
The quartet is based in Providence, Rhode Island. The name Bohemian Quartet was borrowed from the original Bohemian Quartet; also known as the Czech Quartet after 1918. The original Bohemian Quartet was founded in 1891 and disbanded in 1934. The new Bohemian Quartet performs a vast and unique repertoire revolving around traditional Gypsy or Romany music as well as traditional Eastern-European folk music. The music has been collected via recordings, transcription, and interviews, and arranged by Stan. The quartet was featured on the One World Show produced by Robert Malin; receiving an award for Best Music Documentary-2007 in Rhode Island. The Bohemian Quartet’s recently released CD, Beyond Tradition, was placed on the 2010 ballot for three nominations by The Grammy Association.
