Guitarist, composer and arranger Peter Hand has worked with many top artists and bands including Houston Person, Lee Konitz, Carmen Lundy, Jazz at Lincoln Center Orchestra, Chicago Jazz Orchestra, and the Charleston Jazz Orchestra. His most recent album, Out Of Hand, (Savant Records), received rave reviews and reached No. 4 on the JazzWeek Radio Chart of top 50 CDs. Jazz & Blues Report says “Hand is a wonderful guitarist in the vein of a Montgomery, Kenny Burrell, Grant Green and the like with a definite blues sensibility”, and Downbeat stated “When Hand arranges outside material for the band, he masterfully adds a new dimension to it”.
Marty Ballou is high on the list of New England’s “first-call” bassists. Highly regarded nationally for his work in the jazz and blues fields, he is equally at home in other genres including folk, rock, pop and Americana, with a massive list of credits, including working with Peter Wolf, Herb Ellis, Roomful of Blues, Cheryl Wheeler, Duke Robillard, John Hammond and Jimmy Witherspoon.
Drummer Mark Walker has played on over 60 albums, including five Grammy winning and nine Grammy nominated projects. He has had long-standing relationships with artists such as Paquito D’Rivera and the group Oregon, and has performed & recorded with Dianne Reeves, Regina Carter, James Ingram, Michael Brecker, Eliane Elias, the Caribbean Jazz Project and Andy Narell.
