On July 16th, the team of mortgage professionals at Province Mortgage Associates, Inc. celebrated their 10th anniversary as one of the most reputable mortgage lenders based out of the Greater Providence area. For the first 10 years of their existence, they have been headquartered at 10 Davol Square in Providence, RI renting space owned and operated by Brown University. President, David Currie is proud to announce the purchase of their own building at 50 Office Parkway located just of Rt. 44 adjacent to the Stop & Shop Plaza in East Providence, RI. This beautifully renovated building will become their new headquarters, giving this team 4600 sq. feet of space to expand their business of helping homeowners.

“Province has become big enough to be relevant, yet it remains small enough to be nimble”, comments Currie. “We’ve been able to endure all of the highs and lows of the last ten years by making good decisions and growing slowly. Our entire staff has worked so hard to earn one of the best reputations in the mortgage industry, and they deserve this new space.” Province Mortgage Associates is a full service delegated mortgage lender licensed in RI, MA, CT, NH, and MT specializing in residential and commercial lending for purchase and refinance transactions.

“Our business is generated solely on referrals from our network and our valued clients”, shares Don Wilson, Director of Corporate Relations. “We survey 100% of our closings, receiving between 20 and 30 positive reviews each month with comments always revolving around one central theme: outstanding service.” The Province team has earned many accolades including being voted “One of the Best Places to Work in RI” by the Providence Business News six times. The Province staff has been recognized for holding each other accountable to a higher standard, sporting an A+ rating with the Better Business Bureau. Province has used this competitive advantage to grow their company with the most recent accomplishment being the addition of their new location in Cheshire, CT acquiring the team of seasoned mortgage professionals at Constitution Mortgage.

Strategic Growth Manager, Alan Conley, is currently engaged in a national recruiting campaign for new mortgage professionals. “Province earns the commitment of its people by providing unprecedented peer support in a team environment that permeates our culture and inspires our people to exceed their goals. This new headquarters will be a wonderful reflection on the quality of people we have working for us, and we’re currently looking for more like-minded mortgage professionals to join our team.” Province recently launched which showcases everything that this local business has to offer. “Constitution Mortgage Becomes Province Mortgage Associates”

Constitution Mortgage, a financial pillar of the Cheshire, CT community, has now become Province Mortgage Associates. Constitution Mortgage, which most recently acted as the Mortgage Department for BCI Financial, is known for having some of the most seasoned mortgage experts in the area. Their office will be moving from 219 South Main Street to the brand new location at 202 Highland Avenue across the street from the Stop and Shop Plaza in Cheshire, CT.

Susan Rubino, Senior Mortgage Advisor with the Cheshire team whose career in finance spans the last 33 years was referred to Province Mortgage recently when her daughter and son-in-law needed a specific mortgage product to purchase a new home in Rhode Island. She reached out to company President, David Currie, to discuss her daughter’s loan options and discovered that Dave grew up in Cheshire and actually went to high school with her daughter. Susan Rubino and her family experienced Province Mortgage Associates’ commitment to providing outstanding customer service commenting that “the people they dealt with were so friendly and accommodating it just made the loan process easy.” Perfect timing and a common purpose for providing a world class mortgage experience became the next phase of Constitution Mortgage becoming Province Mortgage Associates.

Ken Penfield, a 30 year banking industry veteran who recently served as the manager for the mortgage department at BCI Financial Mortgage Corporation/Constitution Mortgage is excited about his team’s future at Province. “I’ve always been associated with community banking. Everyone knows Constitution Mortgage within the community and we are community people.” Like the Cheshire team, Province is a team of seasoned mortgage professionals that treat clients and each other like family. Big enough to be relevant yet small enough to be nimble, Province benefits from an expanded line of mortgage products like the big banks, but with that small company feel that clients truly enjoy.

In addition to Sr. Mortgage Advisor, Susan Rubino and Branch Manager, Ken Penfield, the Cheshire team of Province Mortgage Associates also includes Sr. Mortgage Advisor, Kevin Luddy, who started Constitution Mortgage back in 1989. Kevin brings years of experience, an in depth knowledge of mortgage products, and a willingness to go the extra mile for his clients. Also on the team is Kevin’s son Gregg Luddy who has been a mortgage advisor for two years to complement his many years of underwriting and loan processing experience. Sr. Mortgage Advisor, Brian Turley adds another 25 years of mortgage experience to the team along with his specialty in Reverse Mortgages. Michael Savenelli channeling his 45 years in the credit industry into his Business Development position along with their dedicated and hard-working Loan Processor, Helen LeCompte round out this amazingly talented Cheshire team.

The benefits of this merger to the home owners of this community are many. A deeper product selection means more options for people to buy homes as well as more ways for current homeowners to save money through refinancing. A more effective marketing campaign will keep mortgage clientele well informed when it comes to changes in the marketplace. As a delegated lender, Province has more control over the underwriting and closing process which facilitates a better mortgage experience for the client as well as for Realtors and other people who refer business.   Dave Currie has come full circle back to his roots in Cheshire, and the Cheshire team of Province Mortgage Associates looks forward to helping the great people of our region be successful with home ownership.
