Upcoming Event 5/2 : Dancing With the Stars of Mentoring 2019
This Thursday 5/2 at Rhodes on the Pawtucket, Lite Rock 105, Heather Gersten and NBC 10, Mario Hilario will be hosting the annual Dancing with the Stars of Mentoring fundraiser. Each year the organization hosts this event that features local celebrity dancers and provides, dinner, open dancing, a silent auction, and a surprise wine grab-bag!
Mentor Rhode Island is a non-profit organization that works to develop mentoring programs directed at helping our youth succeed. The company’s vision and mission is to develop a place “where all youth are connected to relationships with adults who inspire and support them. All youth will have role models who provide a road map for lifelong success and achievement. Our mission is to ensure youth have access to the motivational and supportive relationships they need to grow into confident, successful adults”. Mentor Rhode Island words to establish and instill trust, excellence, leadership, education and innovation within their community.

Jazz bassist, Dave Zinno‘s album, “Stories Told” explores the wild and beautiful jungle of jazz, more specifically, the Brazilian/Latin tributary: electric, funky, passionate and rhythmic. Recently his album has placed #26 on JazzWeek Charts.

4.25.19 NBC 10: Judith Stillman Previews Upcoming Concert
Earlier this afternoon, Judith Stillman was featured on the NBC 10 Facebook Live. During her time on the show, she so beautifully shared a piece of her composition. Her show entitled April in Paris with Poulenc, features five RI Philharmonic Orchestra members. These include, flutist Rachel Braude, oboist Denise Plaza-Martin, clarinetist Ian Greitzer, French hornist Kevin Owen, and bassoonist Ronald Haroutunian. The piece is a collaboration among various art institutions. April in Paris is not only a concert but a play as well, in conjunction with visual features for the audience- transforming the performance from a show into an experience. All these aspects aid in portraying the story of the great French composer and pianist, Francis Poulenc.

Elizabeth Fradin springs into the season as she demonstrates her cooking process when creating an Herb Frittata, using spring greens! This morning on The Rhode Show she was featured as a guest to share her scrumptious recipe.
Fradin’ company, known as, “Beth Bakes” creates artisanal crackers that are not only gluten, nut and soy-free, but also vegan, made with whole grains and non-GMO! Along with her Frittata (egg-based Italian dish similar to an omelette/quiche) recipe, Beth announced that her company has just introduced a new flavor cracker, an everything bagel spice!
During her feature, she walks her viewers through the specified ingredients and provides step-by-step instructions on how to properly create the perfect Herb Frittata dish!
