Falcon Ridge Folk Festival Calendar Contest!
Want to win some free Falcon Ridge Folk Festival merchandise? This is your chance! If you are attending the event just grab some pictures of you with your favorite band whether they are playing on stage, walking around the venue, or posing for a selfie with you. As long as you have a picture of them with you in it you will be eligible! Take that picture and post it on Twitter! Make sure to add a fun caption and include @mixedmediapromo and use the hashtag #FalconRidgeFolkFest so that we can see it and count your entry. You can also feel free to tag the band you are taking your picture with. We will select winners on August 9th so you’ll have a few days after the festival is over to submit your photos. We will be looking at the pictures and captions to select our winners so submit your best pictures with your most creative captions to have a better chance of being selected as a winner. We can’t wait to see what awesome pictures the amazing festival attendees send in while also dishing out some free gear in the process! We are eagerly awaiting everyones submissions.

5/14 JazzWeek Radio Chart: #8 Monika Herzig “SHEROES”..
The B-Town Bearcats will be playing a tribute to New Orleans and Traditional Jazz at Bear’s Place for the annual Jazz Fables Swing into Spring event.
The show will take place from 5 to 8:30 p.m. on Thursday, May 10. Tickets are $8 for general admission and $6 for students.
B-town Bearcats is an eight-member jazz group led by Mike Lucas on piano. The show will include jazz compositions by Jelly Roll Morton, Fats Waller, Hoagland Howard “Hoagy” Carmichael and more.
The event will be the opening of the Spring/Summer Jazz Fables Series concert season, and will include pop songs from the turn of the century through the 1920s as sung by Kathleen Miller.
The following week on Thursday, May 17, the Jazz Fables will have the return of Monika Herzig’s “The Time Flies,” featuring Monika Herzig on keyboard, Peter Kienle on guitar, Scott Pazera on bass and IU alumnus Josh Roberts on drums.
The show will be from 5:30 to 8 p.m., and tickets are $7 for general admission and $5 for students.
